12v Electric Vac pump

For information...

I have discovered that some of the Volvo range have electric vacuum pumps for the brake booster. I think its V40/S40 V70/S70 autos, maybe only diesel autos, can't be sure.

Anyway, i just collected one from my local Volvo breakers, they specialise in Volvos, can be found at www.leavalleymotors.co.uk. They did say they are quite rare, though.

I paid £40 for it, which is OK, I suppose (£400 new from Volvo), 3 month warrenty. Need to fit a vacuum sensor switch, which isn't a problem.

Its made by Hella, part number is 30616992-01. Its about 120mm long, 65mm dia, plus the fittings, weighs about 1 kg.

Switch should be £15, I think. So total cost is £55, darn sight cheaper than a new one off the shelf...
