thanks guys

but what is 'duff' components?

i checked my 12v batterie, no problem there

i will now remove the box and take out the components, let's see what i find

the Mennekes plug could be the source of the issues, better not use it for the moment

i was offered a 'new' charger ( from an original Sagem box) of a more recent version that has an over heating protection, 300 euro sent to my home address, from France

is that a fair price? I believe it includes the dcdc also

:-D Sorry Quinten, "duff" is from the Gaelic "dubh" meaning broken.

Cost is what you are prepared to pay. There are not too many spares available any more.

Here is very interesting page (although poorly translated from italiam)

http://www.rmsconsult.co.uk/berlingo/ecovelclub.htm

and there are pictures & explanations how to remove filters on charger - maybe will help? (case C in that page)
also a lot of many useful information & pictures I didn't found here.

Maybe all that info should be put together in simple "FAQ", ie:

- replacing brushes
- removing controller
- removing batteries
- opening controller
etc...etc...

I think between us we've done it all, and documented it here - somewhere. That's not to say we aren't still learning, but the basic jobs are detailed in this forum. I'll find you some links.
